Casinos in Ospedaletti, Bordighera, Alassio, Ventimiglia, Rapallo and Ormea

Surely the Liguria region was among the most active in terms of live casinos in Italy. In fact, there were various casinos between the late 19th century and the early 1900s.

The first casino born in Italy was located in Ospedaletti in 1883 and was built inside Villa La Sultana and remained open until 1905, when the company administering the license awarded it Municipality of Sanremo who then opened the Casino of Sanremo.

Other casinos that opened in Liguria and then closed because they transferred the concession to the Municipality of Sanremo were those of Bordighera, Ventimiglia, alassio And Ormea, which opened in the 1930s as a branch of the Sanremo Casino and then closed. While the casino of Rapallo still in Liguria, it opened in the early 20th century and closed in 1924.
